Popcorn messages

It's strange how my blog posts thus far have generally started out with a mention of the length of time since my last post. It's almost as if I've somehow converted the action of writing a blog post in to some sort of Catholic ritualistic confession ceremony. For some reason, I have thus far been unable to find/prioritize time to regularly write and purge my mind of daily thoughts. Perhaps this says something about how much sensical thoughts I am able to retain by day's end. Then again, perhaps this says something about my ability to plan and manage my thoughts in an efficient manner. In order to maintain a sense of continued efficiency, I know it is a good thing to be able to sort out my musings. I know that it is always a good idea to create some sort of ritual of writing if only to rid my mind of endless worries. Finally, more than anything, I know it is a good idea for me to remember and the most practical method for encouraging memory is to write down one's experiences. Having said this, I can only resolve to be more ritualistic in my writing and manage my time in a way to allow for thought purging in the new year - 2012.

the day started out calm enough, in a standard way. Song woke up happy, which always makes me happy. Ever since she was very little, Song has required some extra time to orient when first waking up. This means that sometimes she will wake up crying, which always hurts my soul because there is nothing I can do but to comfort her as best I can. Anyway, enough mindless wondering. As I said, Song woke up happy as did the rest of the family. Edith headed out for a day of selling her ceramics at the Beaux Art Festival. David, Youme, Song, and I headed out soon after for a morning stroll to get some Venezuelan coffee.

The name of the Venezuelan coffee place is escaping me at the moment.
