This post was made using dictation. As I am new to the technology, my hesitation shows. Perhaps an edit is in order sometime in the future to clarify my thoughts, however it's the idea that matters.
As Father's Day comes to a close, I want to take a moment and record some of my thoughts. It's been three years since I got married and I guess I now have gotten the pleasure to celebrate three Father's Days. I am father to a beautiful daughter who is now two and a half and I am father to a wonderful handsome two month old boy. And both children are the light of my life. I love them both so much. Today was spent in full celebration. We spent the day mostly at the park, a wonderful little park in Coral Gables called Mary Christmas Park, which is really a great name for a park because it embodies the spirit of celebration, the spirit of new beginnings. The park is basically made up of a sync hole. Its surrounded on three sides and in the center down in the center is where the play area exists with some great play structures for kids including a wonderful set of swings. Song really enjoyed the climbing equipment and Youme and I got a chance to see her enjoy the whole experience of climbing as high as one can. I remember a time growing up when I used to climb high up in a tree just to read a book and feel the breeze on my face. Like many animals, cats and other tree climbing animals know, it's a lot easier to climb up than coming back down. I remember this one experience when I climbed up to the top of a tree not paying attention to the breaking branches on my way up. I figured I would find an alternate way to get back down and I didn't really worry about it much. Later in the day when I wanted to get down with my book, I found that the branches that had broken earlier in the day were the ones I needed to safely navigate back to the ground. Needless to say, I made some daring drops to branches below in hopes that I would land in such a way that I could catch myself. I felt like a cat stuck up in a tree. All this to say that we had a wonderful Father's Day and the celebration was followed up by a lunch at a restaurant we often visit called Kon Chau. It's really a wonderful place that David and edith took us to starting around four years ago when I first came to Miami to meet them before Youme and I were married. So it's a wonderful little place that serves Dim sum. Song particularly enjoys the chive flowers. After brunch at Kon Chau, we went for a drive and both of the kids fell fast asleep allowing Youme and I a chance to catch up.
