Remnants of Mundane musings

Last night I dreamt that I was walking alone along a featureless plane. The light was neutral, and there was nothing to see. It wasn't that there wasn't color, but that color was a concept that didn't exist. I walked on and on with no destination in mind and everything was quiet.

As I continued across the plane, various figures would appear and beckon to me to follow them. Since I didn't have a frame of reference, I was unable to determine in what direction to go to follow. The figures would appear for a brief moment before blinking out with no trace of them ever being there at all.

Needless to say, I woke up a bit mystified. I've been trying to figure out the meaning of the dream all day and haven't gotten very far.

Is my mind seeking something? A challenge? Am I feeling myself to be in a state of limbo? If so, why?

At this point, I'm not really sure what questions to ask, but I suppose the usual W's are a good start.

Where do I fit in to this journey across the plane. Where did all the color go? Who are the figures beckoning to me? Who do I follow? Where?
